Paul O’Sullivan Memorial Open:

Congratulations to Eileen McCarthy on retaining the Claret Jug dedicated to the Kerry Ladies 1995 National Inter-County win after winning the Ladies Gross prize in Listowel last week. The club’s other prizewinners included Connie O’Sullivan (Inter Gross) and Denis Duggan (Junior Gross) as James Foley was beaten on countback for the Junior Nett prize.

Club Strokeplay:

Please note it has been decided to defer this event (sponsored by Charlie Foleys Bar) for one week to Friday July 3rd-Sunday July 5th. Further details next week

Collins U16 Scratch Cup:

Well done to Aodhan O’Halloran on winning the U16 section of the event held in Cork on Monday night.

Congratulations:

to Mike ‘Seve’ O’Leary on winning a silver medal with the Munster team in the Golf Event in the recent Special Olympics National Finals.

Castleisland Scratch Cup:

Takes place this Saturday (June 27th) with cards from 8am-3pm. We encourage our club members to support this event.

Best Wishes:

We have a number of members heading outside the county this weekend for events. Firstly we wish Connie O’Sullivan and Dan Broderick the best of luck in the National O55 Intermediate Strokeplay Championship in Rochfortbridge, Westmeath this weekend along with our U16 members who are heading to Collins for the Munster U16 Matchplay.

Songo:

Best Wishes to the Kerry County Board with their ‘Songo’ fundraiser in Tralee on Saturday night in the Na Gaeil clubhouse. This is a fundraiser for this year’s Inter-County teams.

Munster Strokeplay:

Please note in advance of this event which the club are hosting on the weekend of July 19th next month, the Committee have decided that the course will close to all general play from Monday July 6th. An announcement regarding official practice times for competitors will be made in due course.
