Ricky Kelly: A big thank to to everyone who supported our Ricky Kelly Memorial this year in what were the most challenging playing conditions in a long time with the weekend's weather. Thankfully our Barbeque stayed dry last night as Derry McCarthy and Aidan O'Keeffe did a great job again this year in keeping everyone fed throughout. Thanks to Musgraves for the food on the night as well as Cian and Danielle Breen for looking after the bar along with other members of the Looney family. Shirley and Helena looked after the shop well as plenty of salads and sides were provided with the food. Thanks to Meitheal and the Candlelighters for providing the entertainment as well as all the Committee who looked after the table this weekend as well as Gearoid Cronin for doing up the scorecards. We had new winners for 2025 as Ben Kelliher continued a great year for himself since August 2024 in combining with his father Jamie and Alan O'Sullivan to win by over four four strokes. Thanks to Frances O'Sullivan and the Tatler Jack Bar for their continued sponsorship of the event as we look forward to next year's 35th staging of the event in Ricky's name. 2025 Results: Overall Nett: Ben Kelliher, Alan O'Sullivan & Jamie Kelliher 65, Overall Gross: Jason O'Brien, Robbie O'Brien Jnr & Darragh O'Sullivan 83, Second Nett: Sean Ashe, Dave Spillane & Tom Ashe 69 1/3 and Mixed Nett: Daniel Kelly, Brian O'Leary & Rebecca Kelly 72. Munster Inter-Counties: Commiserations to those who represented Kerry in the events in Ardnacrusha last weekend. Eileen McCarthy was also part of the Ladies side who were second in the Nett event as Damien Fleming and John McGrath won bronze with the Senior Men in a side managed by James Fleming. We say well done to Dermot Tuohy on winning the Limerick Senior Men and also say we were delighted to have a member of the Tipperary Intermediate Mens side join us for our Ricky Kelly Barbeque.
